Lady coat made of thick, dark blue wool (96%). The cut of the coat is based on a find from Haithabu (Hedeby). The cut is a geometrical one based on a T-shape, with a small undercut in the armpits for more comfort in wearing. Symmetric front cut, with an undercut at the neck. The coat has two wedges, one on each side. The length reaches to the calf. The hem of the neck, front, cuffs and lower edges of the coat have been bordered with blue wool (95%) with stamp printings. I made this prints by myself. The pattern of stamp comes from Czernigov region, Levinki village 10cent. The fabric has been washed before sewing. Paint has been checked in washing maschine. Prints should be ironed on left side. Kaftan should be hand wash in 30C. Inside stitches are machine, every visible stitches are made by hand.
In front are 8 bronze buttons, the shape of buttons is from Birka.
Size: length of coat 126 cm, width under the armpit 53 cm x 2, width in belt 47 cm x 2, width in hips 56 cm x2, length of sleeves 60 cm, width of sleeves 14 cm. Size of dress is similar for clothes size 38-40.
