Lady coat with stamp printed silk

Lady coat made of hand weaved wool in a dimond pattern (100%). Shape based on a find from Birka (Sweden), 8th-9th cent. Made of two rectangles and with square-shaped wedges under the armpits and wedges on the sides. The front is bordered with stamp printing silk in gold color. Stamp printed silk was made with oli paint. The pattern of stamp comes from Czernigov region, Levinki village 10cent. The edges of the coat are bordered with brown wool. Fabric and silk has been washed before sewing. Inside stitches machine, every visible stitches are made by hand. Prints should be ironed on left side. Kaftan should be hand wash in 30C. 


Size: length of coat 121 cm, width under the armpit 55 cm x 2, width in belt 59 cm x 2, width in hips 67 cm x2, length of sleeves 59 cm, width of sleeves 14 cm. Size of coat is similar for clothes size 44-46
