Lady coat made of thick light brown wool. The cut of the coat is based on a find from Haithabu (Hedeby). The cut is a geometrical one based on a T-shape, with a small undercut in the armpits for more comfort in wearing. Symmetric front cut, with a undercut at the neck. The coat has two wedges, one on each side. The length reaches to the calf. The hem of the neck, cuffs and lower edges of the coat have been bordered with hand made tablet braid (100% wool) and dark brown wool. Inside stiches are maschine, every visible stiches are hand made. In front of the dress and on cuffs are four, large hand made embroideries made with woolen threads, sized 7 cm x 29 cm. The motif of embroidery comes from detail from Kirk Michael, Isle of Man.
Size: length of coat 142cm, width under the armpit 54cm x 2, width in belt 47cm x 2, width in hips 57cm x2, length of sleeves 67 cm, width of sleeves 15cm. Size of dress is similar for clothes size 42-44.
