Dress made of lighr brown woolen fabric (95 %) in diagonal pattern. Simple geometric cut, based on a T shape, with a light undercut in the armpit. The cut of dress is based on found from Haithabu (Hedeby). The sleeves narrow towards the wrist. The dress has two wedges; one at each side. Every visible stitch is hand made with a linen thread, inside stitch are machine. On the edges hand made tabet braid, made with 100% wool. Fabric and braid has been washed before sewing. The gown is a basic item of clothing for a Viking-era female.
Size: length of tunic 146cm, width under armpits 54 cm x2, width in belt 46 cm x 2, width in hips 52 cm x2, length of sleeves 65 cm, width of sleeves 13 cm. Dress should be hand washed in 30 C.
