Light green woolen Viking dress - herring bone

Beautiful dress, made of 100% woolen fabric in a herring bone pattern, medium thickness. Soft wool, pleasant to the skin. Simple geometric cut based on a T shape, with a light undercut in the armpit. The cut of dress is based on found from viking settlement Haithabu (Hedeby).

The sleeves narrow towards the wrist. The dress has two wedges; one at each side. Every visible stitch is hand made with a linen thread, inside stitches are machine. Half circle undercut. Wool was washed before sewing.

The dress is the basis of a Viking-era womanu2019s outfit.
