Frisian cap made of thick rusty-brown wool (90% wool, 10% other fibers), fully lined with linen (100%).
The cap dates to the period between 800 and 1000 AD and was found in the Netherlands. All specimens discovered to date originate from the Netherlands, specifically from areas that maintained strong ties with Scandinavia, northern Germany, and Anglo-Saxon peoples (Brandenburg). These caps were worn with the peak facing backward; the peak was designed to protect the neck while working in the fields.

Size L: girth 62,00 cm (24,41 in), deep 9,50 cm (3,74 in) – brown linen lining inside.
Size XL: girth 63,00 cm (24,80 in), deep 9,50 cm (3,74 in) – natural linen lining inside.
