Blue hat with motif from Visegrad

Beautiful hat made in four wedges, every visible stitch is hand made with linen thread. Made of brown wool with a lining of linen on the inside. The embroidery sized 11,5 cm x 11,5 cm was made with linen thread on linen fabric, which was also decorated with a stripe of red silk. The stitching motif has been found in ceramic tile, Visegrad, Prague 11-12 cent. This type of hats has been worn both in Scandinavia and in Slavic areas.

The girth measure on the inside is 59 cm/23,22 in. The hat is finished with fur from a forest fox’s tail.
