More info
Pointed hat with fur and selvedge. Made of yellow wool (90%, 10% extra) with a lining (100%) of linen on the inside. This style was worn in parts of Scandinavia (especially Sweden) and Russia. The cap is decorated with naturally dyed wool and a handmade wool braid (100%).
The circumference from the inside is 64.50 cm (25.20 inches), the length of the hat is 42 cm (16.54 inches). The hat is trimmed with fox tail fur. Caps of this type might have been worn in the Viking Age, and it is likely that a distinctive triangular end of bronze or silver was sewn to their end. Only silver and bronze tips of these caps have been preserved in finds.
