Viking shirt decorated with embroidery from Oseberg

Decorated Viking shirt made of dark burgund linen (100%). Shape based on a find from Viking area Birka (Sweden), 8th-9th cent. Made of two rectangles and with square-shaped wedges under the armpits and cut at the sides. Fabric has been washed before sewing. The tunic has been embellished with natural silk in gold. The embroideries were with linen threads, sized 14 cm x 20 cm. Inside stitches are machine, every visible stitches are made by hand. The motif of embroidery comes from detail from a sledge from Oseberg. The tunic will complement the Viking outfit.

Size: length of tunic 94 cm / 37,01 in, width 60 cm x 2 / 23,62 in x 2, length of sleeves 60 cm / 23,62 in, width of sleeves 15 cm / 5,91 in, height of wedge 41 cm / 16,14 in. Shirt should be hand washed in 30C. Silver brooch not included.
