Linen Viking tunic with brocade silk

Viking tunic made of thin, 100% linen fabric in light blue color. Shape based on a find from Birka (Sweden), 8th-9th cent. Made of two rectangles and with square-shaped wedges under the armpits and wedges on the sides.

The neck and cuffs of tunic are bordered with hand woven 100% silk. Byzantine silk with Bahram Gur hunter scene, dated IX-Xth century. Fabric has been washed before sewing. Inside stitches are machine, every visible stitches are made by hand.

Size: length of tunic 102 cm (40,16 inch), width 67 cm x 2 (26,38 inch x 2), length of sleeves 60 cm (23,62 inch), width of sleeves 18 cm (7,09 inch), height of wedges 54 cm (20,47 inch ). Tunic should be hand wash in 30C.
