Linen tunic with Arhus embroidery motif

Decorated Viking tunic made of 100 % linen fabric in grey color. Shape based on a find from Birka (Sweden), 8th-9th cent. Made of two rectangles and with square-shaped wedges under the armpits and wedges on the sides.

Fabric has been washed before sewing. The embroidery was hand made with linen threads. The stitching motive has been found in rune stone in Aarhus, Denmark. The embroidery sized 20 cm x 15 cm ( 4,7 x 7,4 inch).

Size: length of tunic 100 cm (39,37 inch), width 64 cm x 2 (25,20 x2), length of sleeves 55 cm (21,65 inch), width of sleeves 16 cm (6,30 inch), height of wedges 50 cm ( 19,69 inch), split under neck 7 cm (2,76 inch) .
