Decorated Viking tunic made of dark green wool (96%). Shape based on a find from Birka (Sweden), 8th-9th cent. Made of two rectangles and with square-shaped wedges under the armpits and wedges in the front, the back and on the sides. The cuffs and the down part of tunic are bordered with deep green silk. Inside stitches are machine, every visible stitches are made by hand. The hem is decorated with embroidery. The embroidery was made with woolen threads, sized 14 cm x 15 cm - on chest. The motif of the embroidery comes from a Viking rune stone St. Paul’s Churchyard, London. Fabric has been washed before sewing.
Size: length of tunic 102 cm (40,16 inch), width 66 x 2 cm (25,98 inch x 2), length of sleeves 60 cm (23,62 inch), width of sleeves 16 cm ( 6,30 inch), height of wedges 48 cm (18,90 inch).
