Viking Woolen hat, Slavic hat, Medieval, Larp, Fantasy, Wikinger, SCA

Simple hat made of beige  wool (100%). Hat has four wedges. Every visible stitch is hand made with linen thread. Half lining of linen on the inside. The hat is bordered with gray and orange wool weaved in herring bone pattern (100%). 

This type of cap is known from iconography from the Viking times. Based on fabric fragments, it can be deduced that this type of cap was known in Scandinavia and the Baltic countries during the early Middle Ages. It is an basic part of the Viking's outfit, it protected from the cold of the wind but also from the sun.
