Simple hat made of green wool (100%) in diagonal pattern. Hat has six wedges. Every visible stitch is hand made with linen thread. Half lining of linen on the inside. The hat is bordered with, hand-woven woolen braid (100%).

This type of cap is known from iconography from the Viking times. Based on fabric fragments, it can be deduced that this type of cap was known in Scandinavia and the Baltic countries during the early Middle Ages.
