Return policy
Headbands were popular during the Viking Age. Small pieces of fabric were often found near the temples in women's graves. The ‘earflaps’ could be sewn to the headband. It is a beautiful element of women's costume from the early Middle Ages. Most have been found in the graves of the eastern Slavs, where we also find a Viking influence.
No kabłączki (temple rings) or similar ear ornaments have been found in Scandinavian graves. Precise translations of such archaeological terms are difficult; therefore, when representing Scandinavian or Viking Age attire, it is safer to use linen or silk headbands without any suspended jewellery.
The headband is made of 100% linen in yellow color, woven in a diamond pattern, with one darker thread that highlights the pattern. A simple, basic forehead band.
Length of headband 110 cm (43,31 in), band width 3,5 cm (1,38 in).
Silver and gold elements and the scarf are not included in the sale.
