Headbands were popular during the Viking Age. Often, small pieces of fabric were found near the temples in the finds of womenu2019s graves. The ‘earflaps’ could be sewn to the headband. It is a beautiful element of womenu2019s costume from the early Middle Ages. Most have been found in the graves of eastern Slavs, where we also find a Viking influence.
