A delicate scarf, perfect for tying around your head. Crafted from linen with a diamond weave, it is both lightweight and breathable. The 100% linen fabric is very gentle on the skin and does not cause itching; it will become even softer after a few washes. It is large enough to be tied into a knot, functioning as a headwrap or headband. It also works well as a lightweight shawl for your shoulders. A two-tone color scheme in natural linen shades. The wrap is hand-stitched using linen thread. I recommend pairing it with a matching headband.

Historical sources: naturally, we have no surviving textile finds in the form of headscarves; instead, we rely on iconography and descriptions from chronicles and psalters, which indicate that married women wore white head coverings. We also know today that it was necessary to protect one’s head while working or when exposed to the sun.
