Calf wraps ( leg bands) can be worn with it. This type of pants is familiar to us from Viking-era iconography.
It is found on many rune stones, plates and ornaments on which we see a wider type of trouser with folds.
Comfortable pants, allowing free movement, particularly favored by Viking warriors.
