Decorated Viking tunic made of dark blue wool (92%). Shape based on a find from Birka (Sweden), 8th-9th cent. Made of two rectangles and with square-shaped wedges under the armpits and wedges on the sides.
The fabric has been washed before sewing. Inside stitches are machine, every visible stitches are made by hand. In front of the tunic are two, large hand made embroideries made with woolen threads, sized 26 cm x 8 cm ( 10,24 inch x 3,15 inch). Motif from embroidery comes from base plate of drum broch Tandgrave, Sweeden.
Size: XL, length of tunic: 96 cm (37,80 in), width x 2: 62 cm (24,41 in), length of sleeves: 61 cm (24,02 in), width of sleeves: 16 cm (6,30 in), split under neck: 7 cm (2,76 in).
