Decorated Viking tunic made of herringbone wool, light beige in color (100%). Shape based on a find from Birka (Sweden), 8th-9th cent. Made of two rectangles and with square-shaped wedges under the armpits and wedges on the sides.
The fabric has been washed before sewing. Inside stitches are machine, every visible stitches are made by hand. In front of the tunic are two, large hand made embroideries made with woolen threads, sized 14 cm x 15 cm ( 5,51 inch x 5,91 inch). Motif from embroidery comes from carved stone form Isle of Mann. The Ringerike Great Beast developed from the Mammen period.
