Linen tunic with embroidery, Viking, early medieval

Decorated Viking tunic made of plum color of linen (100%). Shape based on a find from Birka (Sweden), 8th-9th cent. Made of two rectangles and with square-shaped wedges under the armpits and wedges on the sides. 

 The fabric has been washed before sewing. Inside stitches are machine, every visible stitches are made by hand. In front of the tunic are two, large hand made embroideries made with linen threads, sized 15 cm x 16 cm ( 5,91 inch x 6,30 inch). Motif from embroidery comes from braclet from Novgorod, XII cent. 

 Size: S, length of tunic: 101 cm (39,76 in), width x 2: 56 cm (22,05 in), length of sleeves: 57 cm (22,44 in), width of sleeves: 14 cm (5,51 in), width of wedges: 47 cm (18,50 in), split under neck: 7 cm (2,76 in).
