Interpretation of a Pillbox cap according to a find from Haithabu (Hedeby) dating to around 9th - 10th century. This type of cap is also known from iconography. The simple form of the cap, with a slight, bevelled shape. Made from dark red wool (100% ). Cap trimmed with brocade silk (100%) in historical pattern. The inner seams are machine stitched, all visible seams are hand stitched. Fully lined on the inside with natural linen ( 100% ).
