Decorated Viking shirt made of two-toned linen, natural and red linen form a herringbone weave (100%). Shape based on a find from Viking area Birka (Sweden), 8th-9th cent. Made of two rectangles and with square-shaped wedges under the armpits and tringle wedges at the sides. Fabric has been washed before sewing.
The embroideries were made with linen threads, sized 7 cm x 32 cm. The motif of embroidery comes from detail from base plate of drum brooch, Tandgrave, Sweeden. The tunic will complement the Viking outfit. Inside stitches are machine, every visible stitches are made by hand. The sleeves are trimmed with green silk (100%).
