Description

Decorated Viking tunic made of linen in yellow kolor (100%). Shape based on a find from Birka (Sweden), 8th-9th cent. Made of two rectangles and with square-shaped wedges under the armpits and wedges on the sides.

The fabric has been washed before sewing. Inside stitches are machine, every visible stitches are made by hand. In front of the tunic are two, large hand made embroideries made with linen threads, sized 17 cm x 12 cm ( 6,69 inch x 4,72 inch). Motif from embroidery comes from Odin's Raven brooch found Gotland, IX cent.

Size: L, length of tunic: 97 cm (38,19 in), width x 2: 60 cm (23,62 in), length of sleeves: 58 cm (22,83 in), width of sleeves: 15 cm (5,91 in), width of wedges: 46 cm (18,11 in), split under neck: 8 cm (3,54 in).
