Beautiful cape of dark blue-grey 100% wool. Nice and soft wool in a herringbone pattern popular among Vikings. Can be used as a cape or also as a blanket. Rectangular shape 185 cm (72,83 in) x 135 cm (53,15 in) plus 10 cm (3,94 in) fringe. Very soft wool, gentle to the skin. The blanket should be hand-washed at 30 °C.
This type of cloak is known from iconography of the Viking period. Viking cloaks of this kind were thrown over the shoulder and fastened with a brooch or pin. This is indicated by the locations of brooches in Viking graves, and we interpret Viking garb on this basis.
