Dark rose women wool coat, Viking

Womenu2019s coat made of in dark pink wool (100%) with a with visible pattern weave. The cut of the coat is based on a find from Haithab (Hedeby). The cut is geometric, based on a T-shape, with a slight undercut under the arms for a more comfortable fit. The cut is symmetrical at the front, with an undercut at the neck. The coat has two gussets, one on each side. The length reaches to the calf. Coat with brooch fastening at front. The brooch is not for sale.

Coats of this type were worn over trouser gowns and aprons in Viking times. It provided warmth while at the same time revealing the jewellery and beautiful ornaments of the apron dress.
