Beautiful hat, made of three colors of wool (98%) in six wedges. Every visible stitch is hand made with linen thread. Half lining of linen (100%) on the inside. It is an basic part of the Viking's outfit, it protected from the cold of the wind but also from the sun. This type of cap is known from iconography from the Viking times. Based on fabric fragments, it can be deduced that this type of cap was known in Scandinavia and the Baltic countries during the early Middle Ages.
