Simple hat made of dark blue wool (100%) in diagonal pattern. Hat has four wedges. Every visible stitch is hand made with linen thread. Half lining of linen on the inside. The hat is bordered with wool in diamond pattern.

Based on fabric fragments, it can be deduced that this type of cap was known in Scandinavia and the Baltic countries during the early Middle Ages.
