Simple hat made of 100% thicker, dark blue wool, making it the perfect hat for cold days. Hat has four wedges, based on findings (Birka). Every visible stitch is hand made with linen thread. Half lining of 100% linen on the inside. The hat is also bordered with grey 100% wool in diamond pattern. This type of cap is known from iconography from the Viking times. Based on fabric fragments, it can be deduced that this type of cap was known in Scandinavia and the Baltic countries during the early Middle Ages. It is an basic part of the Viking's outfit, it protected from the cold of the wind but also from the sun.
