Beautiful Viking hood of hand-woven, undyed 100% wool in a grey herringbone pattern. The colour comes from the natural sheep fibres. Hand-sewn: every visible stitch is made by hand with woolen thread, the inside is machine-sewn. The shape of the hood is based on a find from Skjoldehamn on the Norwegian island of Andøya. It is made of two rectangles sewn together on top of the head, with two square wedges set in at the front and back. Sewn high under the throat to protect from wind and cold. The hood is trimmed with grey wool (100%) and lined with grey linen (100%). Ideal for cold days.
Size M: length of hood 65 cm (25,59 in), width 32 cm (12,60 in). Can be worn by men and women, the size is big enough for men as well.
